Philip Amaral is Director of Policy and Development at ECF, the European Cyclists’ Federation. He has been engaging in Advocacy and Campaign activities the last past years in several fields such as human rights, migration and refugees. At ECF, he continues advocacy activities by aiming for more and better cycling in Europe. He believes cycling has a big role to play in urban mobility – and should be better supported.

Azarel CHAMORRO
International Technical Advisor – SMMR
Azarel Chamorro is an International Technical Advisor in mobility at SMMR, based in Cambodia and Japan. SMMR is a cooperative project supporting mobility developments at technical and policy levels across South East Asian Cities. He is passionate about sustainable mobility, with a special focus on Asia, and has been working all over the world. He notably has been Smart Mobility Lead at Mirai Share in Japan, and worked in China with the German Cooperation Agency before COVID. His main topics and expertise include revenue generation and transportation management, and he has experience in MaaS and transport integration.

Umberto GUIDA
Head of Projects Strategy – UITP
Umberto Guida, as Head of Projects Strategy at UITP, contributes to develop knowledge services and products about Public Transport and Urban Mobility. He has long experience in Research and Innovation Projects Management, in particular in the transport domain. He is also an independent expert consultant for GNSS, with more than 10 years expertise in Galileo and EGNOS technologies and applications, including extension of services in South Mediterranean and other world regions.

Cristina JUAREZ BATLLE
Chief Innovation Officer – CARNET
Cristina Juarez Batlle is Chief Innovation Officer at CARNET, Future Mobility Research Hub. Funded by the UPC, the Polytechnical University of Catalonia, SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen Group Innovation, CARNET is an open hub to industrial and academic partners from the areas of automotive and mobility research & innovation with projects based collaboration. Its research focuses on innovations and solutions that close the gap between automotive and urban mobility. She has been involved in the field of Technology, Innovation and Mobility through a career in tech companies and start-ups. She has a specific interest in offering solutions providing the market with the best technological products and has been participating in different projects at EU level on innovation.

Norbert SCHINDLER
Founder – GNSS Consulting
Norbert Schindler is the founder and CEO of GNSS Consulting. Created in 2017 and based in Vienna, his company supports public and private organizations such as tech companies, toll service providers and operators in the deployment of GNSS based solutions for electronic tolling or telematic systems. He has experience working in IT and telecommunications, with a focus on Global Satellite Navigation (GNSS) technologies since 2004. He is also an independent expert at European Union Agency for the Space Program (EUSPA), evaluating and monitoring European GNSS projects that are on the cutting edge of high-precision and robust satellite positioning solutions using Galileo and EGNOS. Norbert is an expert in the field of GNSS-based tolling and smart mobility, with over 25 publications.

Mercedes VIDAL LAGO
Head of Projects Strategy – BARCELONA REGIONAL
Mercedes Vidal Lago is a Spanish politician and environmentalist. She is Head of Projects Strategy at Barcelona Regional, a public company for urban planning and mobility. She has worked for nearly 10 years in the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona before getting elected to the city Council as a Councilor of Mobility, and President of the Metropolitan Transport Authority of Barcelona. She has an extensive knowledge of the Mobility Plan and the deployment of the superblocks strategy in the city and has been involved in its political management.
